Bio: Tahmina Watson is a nationally acclaimed and award-winning immigration attorney. She is the founder of Watson Immigration Law in Seattle, WA, and her practice focuses on employment-based immigration with a focus on startups, founders, entrepreneurs, and investors. She is Women of Influence honoree by the Puget Sound Business Journal. Additionally, Business Insider names her as one of the top lawyers for tech startups in the U.S.
Tahmina is a frequent speaker, author, and blogger, and is a go-to expert for the media, including the New York Times, CNN, NPR, and Bloomberg. She is a columnist for Above the Law, and a writer of thought pieces for Forbes Business Council and Entrepreneur Magazine. In addition to authoring numerous articles in various publications, she is the author of two books-Legal Heroes in the Trump Era and The Startup Visa: Key to Job Growth and Economic Prosperity in America. Tahmina is a passionate immigration lawyer loved by her clients and community. She serves on numerous bar association committees. She is a national spokesperson for the American Immigration Lawyers Association. And she is the current president of the King County Bar Association in Washington State.
In 2018, She envisioned and helped found a non-profit, The Washington Immigrant Defense Network (WIDEN), which funds and facilitates the training of non-immigration lawyers during immigration crises.
