Bio: Stephanie Atwood is a driven and passionate individual hailing from Shelburne, Nova Scotia. Currently residing in Truro, Nova Scotia, Stephanie has made significant strides in her career and community involvement.
In 2018, Stephanie embarked on a remarkable journey by opening “ElevateHER Mental Health Support Services Canada” a highly successful Not-for-Profit Corporation, dedicated to empowering women and their families, helping them reach their full potential. Through ElevateHER, she provides mentorship programs, workshops, and resources aimed at fostering personal growth and professional development.
Recognizing the importance of supporting marginalized individuals within the justice system, Stephanie partnered with Elizabeth Fry Society for their GATE program (Girls Action Against Trafficking & Exploitation). As the program manager, she plays an instrumental role in the prevention and interruption of trafficking and exploitation of youth and adults in Atlantic Canada.
Stephanie’s dedication to her work has not gone unnoticed. She was honored with the prestigious Dr. Gerald Gordon Memorial Award for her outstanding contributions to youth empowerment and advocacy. This recognition highlights her commitment to making a positive impact on young lives through mentorship and educational initiatives. Additionally, Stephanie’s love for animals extends towards her two Chihuahas, Bender & Fry – loyal companions who bring joy and unconditional love into her life,
