Join us as we uncover the story behind her practice and the philosophy that drives her approach to breathwork and healing. Alison also invites you to explore her free gift — a beautiful PDF guide to Breathwork, which you can grab directly from the link here.

  1. Breathwork is known to have numerous benefits for regulating the nervous system. Can you discuss these benefits in more detail and explain how breathwork contributes to overall physical, mental, and emotional well-being?

Breathwork is an incredibly powerful tool for regulating the nervous system, and its benefits extend across physical, mental, emotional well-being as well as spiritual. Here’s a deeper look at how breathwork works to support the nervous system and contribute to overall health:

Regulating the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS):

The autonomic nervous system controls automatic bodily functions, such as heart rate, digestion, and respiratory rate. It has two primary branches: the sympathetic nervous system (SNS), responsible for the “fight or flight” stress response, and the parasympathetic nervous system (PNS), which allows the “rest and digest” state of relaxation.

Breathwork directly impacts the balance between these two systems. By consciously altering the pace, depth, and rhythm of your breath, you can activate the PNS, Parasympathetic Nervous System which calms the body, reduces stress, and enhances relaxation. Deep, slow breathing, especially diaphragmatic (belly) breathing, stimulates the vagus nerve, which signals the brain to lower heart rate, reduce blood pressure, and promote a state of calm.

One of example is Reducing Stress and Anxiety:

Chronic stress and anxiety often arise when the body is stuck in a state of sympathetic dominance—essentially, the “fight or flight” mode. Breathwork can help shift this state, promoting emotional balance and reducing feelings of overwhelm.

As clients practice breathwork, they learn to tune into their bodies, recognizing how certain thoughts, emotions, and experiences manifest physically. This heightened awareness allows them to make conscious choices about how they respond to stressors, emotions, and challenges, fostering greater self-regulation and resilience.

Acknowledging and Releasing Emotions:

The initial phase of breathwork often involves emotional release, which can sometimes feel intense. Clients may experience deep sadness, anger, fear, or even physical sensations like tension or tightness. This emotional release is necessary for clearing the energetic and emotional blockages that have been held in the body and mind for years. It’s essential to let these emotions rise up and be felt, as this is the moment when deep healing begins.

  1. When guiding a client through breathwork, how do you help them transition from a state of emotional release to one of expansion and higher vibration? Can you describe this process and its significance in their healing journey

I encourage clients to stay present with whatever arises, allowing themselves to feel the emotions fully without judgment or resistance. I remind them that the release is temporary and that it is creating space for something new—something expansive and healing. The breath serves as a supportive anchor, guiding them through the discomfort and allowing the release to flow naturally.

This is an example of how I guide and facilitate a safe space for healing.

I guide clients to envision themselves in their most expansive state—feeling strong, peaceful, joyful, and full of vitality. I remind them that they are capable of tapping into these higher heavenly frequencies, and through their breath, they can maintain and return to this state whenever they choose. Breathwork becomes a tool for accessing these higher vibrations on demand, making them feel empowered and connected to their divine essence. Knowing God is within and therefore they already have access to this place.

Integration:

The final part of the process is helping the client integrate the new, expanded state into their daily life. The breathwork session itself is just the beginning—the real transformation occurs when they can carry that higher vibration into their relationships, work, and personal practices and begin to embody the changes.

Ultimately, this process of release and expansion in breathwork mirrors the cyclical nature of life itself—clearing out the old, making space for the new, and expanding into the fullest version of oneself. It’s a transformative journey that brings lasting healing, self-awareness, and empowerment as well as deeper spiritual connection. I personally coach you in the way God sees you, your divine design before you lost the authenticity of you and authority of you as a unique individual and soul.

  1. Breathwork can have a profound impact on personal relationships and home life. How do you use breathwork techniques to help your clients improve their relationships and create a more harmonious and balanced home environment?

When I coach my clients, I guide them to reconnect with how God sees them—through the lens of their divine design, before life makes them forget who they truly are. I help them rediscover their authenticity and reclaim their authority as unique individuals and souls. I don’t just provide tools; I teach them how to apply these tools daily—how to respond and communicate thoughtfully, rather than reacting from a place of stress or fear. This shift is life-changing, especially in relationships. When my clients experience triggers, they no longer react from a place of anger or victimhood. Instead, they approach challenges with peace, calm, and clarity.

This work isn’t just about coping—it’s about transforming your entire life. It changes how you show up for yourself, for your family, for your coworkers, and for the world. And the results are undeniable. My clients tell me they feel more joy, more energy, and they even sleep better. Breathwork and consistent practices realign their mind, body, and spirit, bringing them into harmony. As they lean into this deeper work, they learn to thrive. They return to their natural state of balance—homeostasis—where they feel fully whole, grounded in the person God made them to be.

This is about so much more than just feeling better. It’s about stepping into your true power and living a life of purpose, peace, and vitality. I’m here to help you take that step—because when you embrace your soul’s truth, you begin to radiate it to everyone around you.

  1. Drawing from your own experiences with postpartum depression and anxiety, what advice would you offer to someone currently struggling with these issues? How can breathwork be a part of their healing process?

Having experienced mental burn out and then postpartum depression (PPD) and anxiety myself, I understand the deep, overwhelming feelings that come with those struggles. The isolation, confusion, and emotional turbulence can feel suffocating, and you are not alone in this. God sees you and there is healing to receive.I want to offer hope and practical tools that can help someone navigate through this challenging time. One of the most powerful tools that helped me in my own healing journey was breathwork.

Getting out of the mind and into the body. I did a ton of mindset work as well, but I realized and learned over time that our body stores so much trauma and we need to safely release it to break those chains we are in and to allow God to further work on us and through us. Then after we have released and regulated our nervous system, now we can fire and rewire the neuroplasticity and change what we are thinking, take captive of our thoughts and thrive in mind, body and spirit.

My advice to anyone struggling with doubt or heavy emotions is to first let go of any shame, guilt, or self-criticism you’re holding onto. These feelings don’t come from the truth of who you are—God did not create you to carry that weight. It’s so important to become present with yourself, to pause, and simply be in the moment. One powerful way to do this is through breathwork. It’s truly transformative, as it helps regulate your nervous system and shifts the way you show up in the world. When you breathe deeply, you begin to feel a shift inside you—you start to feel lighter, more at ease. I also recommend journaling as a way to release what you’re holding inside. Write down your thoughts, your emotions, everything you’re feeling. Let it all out. When you take the time to release your emotions, it changes the way you think. With each breath, you can ground yourself and create the space for healing and transformation. Change your thoughts, breathe deeply, and let go. It’s in those moments that you find peace, and it’s where real change begins.

  1. Connecting with one’s inner child is a powerful aspect of healing past traumas. How does breathwork facilitate this connection, and what benefits can individuals expect from addressing and healing their inner child through breathwork?

The “inner child” represents the childlike aspects of our consciousness, including emotions, memories, and experiences from our early life. Many of us carry unresolved wounds or unmet needs from childhood into adulthood, often manifesting as emotional blockages, limiting beliefs, or trauma responses.

When we reconnect with our inner child, we can access and heal these past wounds. By nurturing and offering love to the inner child, we begin to restore a sense of safety, trust, and self-compassion. This allows healing to unfold in both our emotional and spiritual lives. When I do this with clients, I have them rewire their situations from what took place to God’s healing and grace and by already being regulated and dropped into the breathwork it is much easier to rewire, accelerate and receive. Breathwork also helps activate the body’s natural process of releasing trapped emotions and traumas.

Breathwork also encourages us to stay in the present moment, which is vital when working with the inner child. By focusing on our breath, we can let go of past anxieties or fears, which helps us process deep-seated emotions in a grounded way. God’s presence offers a deep sense of security and unconditional love, helping to release feelings of shame, fear, and abandonment that may be connected to past trauma.

By breathing into the space of your inner child and inviting God’s healing presence, you can experience emotional release, spiritual renewal, and deep healing. This process encourages you to forgive yourself, let go of past hurts, and embrace a future filled with peace and divine love. It’s a way to integrate your emotional experiences, reframe them with God’s grace, and transform them into sources of strength and wisdom.

I facilitate a safe and sacred space for deep emotional healing, allowing you to reclaim wholeness and peace within yourself.

  1. For those looking to incorporate breathwork into their daily routine, what are some simple and effective exercises they can practice to enhance their mental and emotional well-being?
