- Can you share with us your journey from Montejo, Salamanca, to establishing DXMID on the global stage? How did your background influence your design philosophy?
I grew up in Montejo, a small village with about 200 inhabitants. Life there afforded plenty of time for creativity, given the limited resources. My brother and I would invent new toys and find ways to entertain ourselves, fostering a deep sense of innovation from an early age. We also had a close connection with nature, understanding the processes of farming and the importance of sustainability firsthand. This upbringing gave me a profound appreciation for the relationship between humans and nature. I always dreamed of traveling the world and designing beautiful spaces. Once I was old enough, I began my journey across Spain, then to New York, London, Dubai, Shanghai, Yangon, Bali, Colombo, etc among other places. DXMID was born there as a global company, now we have partnerships and clients across different continents offering designs that adapt to every culture, where we now apply my deep-seated values of sustainability and creativity to every project.
