Kate Middleton Will Fill The Void Left By Meghan And Prince Harry

According to the latest reports, Kate Middleton’s daily schedule is quite jampacked.  For example, her latest initiative in British sport is turning heads, Queen Elizabeth had made her the Sponsor for the HMS Glasgow ship. Plus, she is also focused on healing the rift between Harry and William.

Well, before her time in the limelight, she was both a player and an ardent fan of many popular British sports. While being on a break from playing on the St. Andrew’s school field, Kate attended many rugby matches with her family. Her sister Pippa Middleton wrote in Vanity Fair –

“Rugby was a big part of our family and international matches were the focal point. Even we’d plan our weekends around the rugby matches. If the team we supported, lost, dad would be in a state of depression for the remaining afternoon, as if he lost it himself.”

Clearly, the love of sports runs in the Middleton family. Since becoming the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate has supported lots of British athletes and teams in croquet, tennis, and of course rugby.

Kate, 39, is supposed to become the patron of the RFU (Rugby Football Union) and RFL (Rugby Football League).  These roles were previously held by her brother-in-law Prince Harry, who stepped back from his royal duties in February 2021.

The Queen herself confirmed that the Duke of Sussex won’t be  Such organizations can represent a whole range of interests and issues, from sports to healthcare. Throughout the decades, the British royal family has been an active supporter of multiple British sports organizations. Sometimes, they also participated in a few of them. As per rules, each royal family member needs to become a patron of several sports organizations. However, the specific organizations they publicize and represent depends on their choices.

In January 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced they were stepping down as the royal family members. Seems like they have made their final decision. They have confirmed to Her Majesty The Queen that they will not be working as the Royal Family members. As per reports, they left their senior royal duties to have a private life away from the spotlight.

Many believe that Middleton will be leading RFU’s “Inner Warrior” program that recruits more female players into Great Britain’s rugby clubs. Besides, she is also a patron of mental health organizations like Place2Be and other British sports organizations like SportsAid, Tennis Croquet Club, the Lawn Tennis Association, and a few more.
