Bio: Matthew Miller is a senior executive at Orlando Informer, and a rising star in the theme park industry. Growing up in Wewahitchka, Florida, Matthew dreamed of becoming a roller coaster designer. He followed this dream to the University of Central Florida, where he studied engineering and business. While exploring potential career opportunities, Matthew found ways to replicate theme park effects in his college dorm and later began inviting himself into industry projects. With his unbelievable drive, it was only a short time until Matthew started to create a rich legacy as a theme park technologist.
Over the past decade, Matthew has helped create unique thrills for Disney Imagineering and Universal Creative. Spending most of his time with Universal Destinations & Experiences, Matthew helped design attractions for the theme parks in Orlando, Hollywood, Beijing, and Osaka. He has influenced multi-million dollar projects, from standalone rides to fully immersive themed lands.
While working around the globe, Matthew received numerous awards & accolades, including being granted a patent for his research and development of interactive wearable technologies for the parks (Patent: US20210383644A1). His work can still be found in several theme parks today, as he helped deliver iconic attractions such as Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem, Transformers: The Ride 3D, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and Super Nintendo World.
Besides building extraordinary theme park experiences, Matthew also loves helping others break into their dream industry. After landing his dream career at a very early age, Matthew works feverishly with students and young professionals, helping them see that anything is possible in their careers too. Matthew is now known as a world-class speaker and coach, greatly influencing the next generation of leaders while often traveling to speak at Universities all across America.
