Meet These Celeb Couples Who Owns Their LGBTQ Rights The Right Way!

LGBTQ

The whole world celebrates the month of June as a tribute to the Stonewall movement of 1969. The riot involved so many parades, events, and festivities to honor the LGBTQ voices. But unfortunately, the members of the community still face some issues.

However, it is undeniable how Hollywood has been the center of attraction for everything that’s been happening all the while. It holds the same record for the LGBTQ community as well.  The visibility of the particular movement influenced how modern celebrities express their choices and orientations. As the whole world celebrates it, here’s a list of some of the hottest gay power couples of Hollywood.

David Burtka And Neil Patrick Harris

Being one of Hollywood’s favorite lovebirds, Harris and Burtka have been together for more than fifteen years. In 2010, David and Neil welcomed their twins via surrogacy and it changed their life for even better.

So, what is the secret of their sizzling chemistry? David Burtka, who married Neil Harris in 2014, recently shared the secret of their long-lasting relationship.

“The biggest thing that works for us is – we communicate. I think while being in a long-term relationship people forget that both the partners grow individually. Plus, the relationship also grows individually. It’s ok if you two are becoming different people with time. People often get so worked up with the fact that things are not like before!”

Portia De Rossi And Ellen DeGeneres

After becoming committed to Ellen in 2004, Portia shared that she is finally feeling comfortable in her skin. Ellen also shared that with Portia, everything feels right and destined.

After being with Anne Heche for a few years, Ellen met Portia first in 2000.  As Ellen recalls Portia’s first impression was everlasting on her and after four years, they met again at a photo shoot, and this time Portia couldn’t hold her back. They were sharing a 2BHK apartment in L. A by the end of 2005 and parenting three rescued cats. Finally, in August 2008, they tied the knot at their Beverly Hills estate.

In 2020, a cover story came out as a bombshell – Portia and Ellen were getting a $500 million divorce!  So, what was the couple’s reaction to this? It’s both ironic and amazing how they took it in a positive light! Ellen told-

“The divorce rumors show that oh, we are finally accepted. We are getting the same rumors as every celebrity couple. It sounds ridiculous but all the speculations of pregnancy, divorce, and whatever show that our relationship is “NORMAL” now.”

Tiq Milan And Kim Kartin Milan

Being married as a cis, queer woman, and transgender man, Tiq and Kim imagined and created a model of love for every kind of person. Together they showed us the queer vision of relationship and marriage. Tiq is an honest media representation and tireless advocate for the rights of transgenders. His partner, Kim is an educator, writer, and artist who makes the most of her digital platform to address trans, queer, and feminist issues.

They have a one-of-a-kind love story. Like most couples in the digital era, they met online and formed an instant connection. Over 72 hours, they exchanged 3000 messages!  During the TEDWoman 2016 talk, the audience gasped when Tiq mentioned the number of messages. After the laughter and surprise settled down, he confidently said – “I knew Kim was going to be my wife, during those 3 days.”

No matter how many brows have been raised at them, their love has no boundaries. The couples didn’t fail to set a true example of the statement – “Love is Love.”
