Melissa started her beautiful journey 11 years ago. She was sixteen when she received her first set of extensions. They brought her so much happiness and confidence, that she instantly knew she wanted to share that feeling with other women.
After graduating from cosmetology school, at the Aveda Academy, working in the field, and earning her way up the levels to become a recognized hairstylist. She felt that she hadn’t reached her goal of giving that “feeling” of confidence and beauty to other women.
Between wearing all different kinds of extensions herself and installing them on numerous clients, she noticed that the current extension market was not enough. They either left hair messy or damaged… and didn’t give an overall full, lavish look that every woman wants.
Her dream of giving this feeling came true when her custom 2gram, I-Tip extension was created in early 2017. “I combined all of my knowledge and love for hair into these strands, and after developed my custom Hand Tied and Narrow Edge Extensions as well. My purpose in life is absolutely being fulfilled by being able to give my passion and MY HAIR to other women. They get to experience happiness, confidence, and beauty through Bello Haven.”
In case you were wondering, where did the name Bello Haven come from? Bello was inspired by her sweet baby girl, her name is Bella. “I never knew how much happiness and joy one little love bug could bring until I had her. She is my absolute world! And Haven is for my dad. He passed away from cancer 5 years ago. If it wasn’t for him I would not be where I am today. I thank him every day for this blessing and the strength he taught me. One of my future goals is to donate wigs and/or profits to a cancer society in honor of him. Imagine…. wearing Bello Haven Hair Extensions, not only are you getting the most beautiful hair, but also contributing people and families in need.”
She offers certification classes for the Bello Haven methods and has more than 200 salons across the US using their extensions line. The very first full-service Bello Haven Salon located in Northern Colorado officially opened its doors in June of 2019 and they currently have 36 employees in the Bello Family, all chasing their dreams. ⠀⠀
