Stefanie Trenholme
Stefanie Trenholme’s journey from struggling with reading as a child to becoming a speech-language pathologist and author highlights how personal challenges can inspire transformative work. Her understanding of the connection between speech therapy and literacy is central to her practice and her Little Lola Frenchie®️ book series.
Having experienced the frustration of learning difficulties, Stefanie deeply empathizes with children who face similar struggles. In her practice, she supports children in developing speech and language skills, as well as a love of reading, which are skills she wished for in her own childhood.
Stefanie’s books blend her expertise in language development with her love for animals, especially her dog, Lola, a therapy dog and the series’ star. Lola’s adventures, from bathtime to baking, use everyday routines to teach vocabulary and concepts. The repetition of familiar activities creates a predictable, engaging environment for children to learn.
More than entertainment, Stefanie’s books are educational tools designed to make reading enjoyable and accessible, helping children build essential literacy skills.
