Melanie Tischer

What defines a home? What makes a house personal and above all sustainable? These are the key questions, that Studio Karōshi asked itself at its inception. A home is a place that accompanies you throughout your life and should reflect the personality of the residents. Therefore, a home does not have to remain static, it can and must change, much like the flow of life. Satisfaction, familiarity and serenity are the elements that we should associate with our home.

Melanie Tischer founded Studio Karōshi in 2022, building on design expertise from a German master’s degree in interior design and as a lecturer at the Rein Main University of Applied Sciences in Wiesbaden. Passion for design and individual concepts make the studio “the destination for interior design and gorgeous things”. The studio offers classic interior design for private customers, shops and cafés. Melanie is also a stylist for furnishing and decoration and therefore covers a wide range of beauty.

With the goal of creating elegance through subtle aesthetics, Studio Karōshi forms clean and simple interiors. A kind of understatement. This is based on Melanie’s philosophy that beauty lies within a certain level of humility and that this leads to greater contentment and a better self.
