After many years of loyalty, this sent Stacey into a tailspin that, after much resistance, resulted in answering the call to salon ownership. Her mantra being “when you can’t find it, build it” and she did! So, she opened her first tiny 100 sqft studio in the heart of Chelsea, NYC. in which she doubled her income in the first year.

As the pandemic hit, instead of shying away, she leaned in and doubled down, again answering a call, this time – a call to service. She saw a need to help displaced fellow stylists and expanded into a larger multi-studio concept that has allowed her to truly “disrupt” the status quo and provide homes for her fellow displaced stylists. Since January of 2020, Stacey expended and diversified her brand 4 times- but once again she wasn’t done! She listened closely to her guests and her collective of independent stylists and knew it was time to build it “her” way and disrupt the industry once again.

Stacey is excited to launch her newest collective, an elevated beauty & lifestyle experience due to open early 2023!! Leaning into the madness of the pandemic has allowed her to build what is now heralded as the “next generation of salon business model”. When her girl was prescribed a walker to practice stepping, she commented that people were staring, but not saying hi.  Jacquie challenged herself to find a way to motivate her daughter to step, and encourage others to look beyond the device and see her amazing child.

She created a hand-sewn walkercape with a leotard and tutu attached, and the response from her daughter was electric! Moreover, people began to engage directly with her; asking about her interest in ballet and complimenting the fun design.

Jacquie believed it was an idea that could benefit other families, and through the nonprofit, volunteers create walkercapes that are given away for free to pediatric therapy clinics, rehab hospitals and directly to families.
